Shah Alam, 28 February 2025 - Honda Malaysia (or the Company) has set its sights on selling 83,000 units in 2025, aiming to strengthen its market presence with a projected market share of 10.6%. This target is driven by the Company’s strategic business direction for the year, which encompasses the introduction of three new models, including the New Civic launched in January, as well as brand activities to enhance market engagement. The continued strong demand for its existing lineup has also bolstered the Company’s confidence in maintaining its leading position in the industry.

Looking ahead, Honda Malaysia remains focused on prioritising customers and adapting to market conditions. The Company is confident that internal combustion engine and e:HEV technologies will stay relevant in the market, benefitting from infrastructure readiness, consumer preferences and technological advancements. In addition, Honda has proven its fundamental strength in hybrid technology that has earned widespread global recognition and positive acceptance. The e:HEV models also gained significant market traction, which impressively accounted for nearly 30% of Malaysia’s total hybrid car sales in 2024.

Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said, “Aligned with our 2025 business direction, we are set to energise the market with the debut of our first BEV, the e:N1. This model exemplifies Honda’s advanced BEV features, while also introducing the Company’s initial EV technology to the Malaysian market. The e:N1 is poised to captivate customers with its distinctive positioning, backed by Honda’s extensive experience and wide network of after‑sales support.

The introduction of the BEV is a key component of the Company’s business strategy, building upon Honda’s global electrification approach and establishing a strong foundation for Honda Malaysia’s electrification journey. It paves the way for our three‑year plan to introduce three new BEV models to the Malaysian market by 2027. Beyond expanding the Company’s product line‑up, this initiative emphasises Honda’s commitment to reinforcing our prominent and unique position in the industry.”

In addition to enhancing its product offerings, Honda Malaysia strives to improve its sales and after‑sales services. As Honda Malaysia continues to grow, it ensures that all associates stay ahead of the latest advancements, equipping them with the knowledge and expertise to deliver services that exceed expectations.

In line with its dedication to elevating customer convenience and practicality, Honda Malaysia is prioritising digitalisation to streamline the after‑sales experience. To‑date, the HondaTouch platform has registered more than 430,000 active users, reflecting the Company’s goal to provide a seamless and efficient digital solution.

With this focus, Honda Malaysia reaffirms its commitment to Powering Progress, Expanding Joy by building on its legacy and advancing its models with internal combustion engine and e:HEV technologies while seamlessly integrating BEV technology.
